Now AT&T announced this week that they have finished all necessary actions so that Apple can enable VoIP applications on iPhone to run on AT&T’s wireless network. For some time, AT&T has offered a variety of other wireless devices that enable VoIP applications on 3G, 2G and Wi-Fi networks. AT&T this afternoon informed Apple Inc. and the FCC of its decision.

Orange mobile business made a deal to sell Apple Inc.’s iPhone in the U.K. by this year, bringing to an end a two year exclusive contract held by rival Telefonica SA’s O2 mobile network. Till now Orange did not announce the release date, but an Orange spokesman said the iPhone would be available on Orange network by Christmas.

Twitter explodes his new service for its users ,Now twitter users will now be able to make voice calls to each other via the famous microblogging platform, the new feature by third party service provided by Jajah. The new service went live, straight into beta on Thursday morning, allowing Twitter users to start voice chat simply by typing @call @username (Twitter ID).
During the beta phase of the new Twitter voice service, the calls will be limited to 2 minutes and only users with Jajah accounts will be able to do and receive calls. This is a free service that works on all Twitter-enabled devices, PCs and smartphones included. An important point to mention that users will keep their phone numbers private and that they can ignore the call, if they don’t feel like talking.

Retail staff have been hit with N97 returns as initial software glitches hit the phone. Staff in Carphone Warehouse, 3 and Vodafone said there had been a high level of returns due to software bugs on the phone, including a problem with the backlight not turning on.

Dell’s silence regarding its long awaited mobile phone does not mean that the company’s not working on getting the smartphone launched right now. Word’s out that they’re collaborating with the top 3 to 4 carriers, in order to meet their demands.
Last we heard, Dell was prepping an Android-based handset and they’re also set to launch a slew of other new devices with all types of screen diagonal sizes. The Wall Street Journal claims that we’ll see more than one 2G and 3G phone bearing the company’s logo and hitting the market before year end.
We’ve still to see a leaked photo of this mystery Dell Android phone, but we bet it’s something special, since it’s been in the making for so long.
