Version 2.5 of Manila was just shown in action on a HTC Leo handset, as you can see in the following video, but keep in mind that this build of the TouchFLO 3D 2.5 UI is no yet available on devices that are in shops right now:
This new build comes courtesy of the folks of XDA, that used a ROM to uncover the features of the new UI, shown on HTC Leo handset. Build 1919 gets tested on HTC Leo handset and we can see clearly how things have Read the rest of this entry »
HTC wanted to make it clear that the chin was an Android-only feat and that you won’t see such a design on HTC Windows Mobile phones. People are already accustomed to the “chin” of the HTC Android phones Hero and G1, although the Sprint version of the former lacks this trait.
The statement above done by HTC’s design firm in a recent interview with Forbes, also claiming that Windows Mobile devices will keep their glossy finishes, dark, perfect for a professional and Read the rest of this entry »
Vodafone has just announced that it’ll start selling the affordable Android phone HTC Tattoo device in the UK starting of October, for a yet unknowned price. The HTC Tattoo device comes with the Sense UI, just like HTC Hero and it contained a decent and special amount of specs, that’ll generate a lot of interest from the public looking for a cheap Android phone.
HTC Tattoo device features a 3.2 megapixel camera, a 3.2 inch touchscreen display, WiFi, GPRS, quadband connectivity support and triband , HSDPA support and an MP3 player. Also Bluetooth support on its specs list, a memory cards lot, games, email features and video recording.
Now you’ve found a hands-on video of HTC Touch2 with sensual music in the background, courtesy of Solopalmari. You can briefly check out the handset in the video below and find out more info about it from here:
Touch2 is a mid to low end Windows Mobile 6.5 handset. The low end aspect of the device is surely its poor display, a QVGA screen, but otherwise the specs are pretty decent: a 528 MHz CPU, 3G connectivity, GPS, WiFi, 256MB RAM and a zoom bar, plus a 3.5mm audio jack.
Last we heard HTC Leo was using a capacitive touchscreen display ,the below video showed that HTC Leo supports multi-touch interaction and pinching gestures
Till now, all evidence pointed toward a resistive display on Leo, but now things seem to have changed. This would make HTC Leo the very first Windows Mobile phone with a capacitive display and support for multitouch pinching gestures, in order to zoom pictures and videos, another feature confirmed by the blog mentioned above. What’s interesting is that the real name of the device seems to be HTC Pro Three and in case you’re wondering, this is a powerhouse, since it packs a 1 GHz Snapdragon CPU.
Just look at the huge 4.3 inch display (800 x 480 pixels) next to Diamond2’s 3.2 inch one… quite a difference, right?
Don’t forget to check out these neat screenshots of the device below, showing its powerful specs, stuff like 320MB RAM or 512MB flash storage.
You might also want to know that Leo integrates widgets and Facebook, plus the famous FootPrints geotagging software. HTC’s WiFi Router is also on board, turning the handset into a WiFi hotspot. What more could you want?
Over the past week, two highly anticipated Windows Mobile devices were
released in North America. 1st is Sprint HTC Touch Pro 2 and the 2nd is Verizon
HTC Touch Pro 2. Both of them HTC phones finally include a 3.5mm headphone
port, unlike old HTC phones. The specs for each phone is almost identical
this time around, but the important and big difference is in pricing. The
Verizon TP2, released September 11, for $199.99 and Sprint’s TP2, released
September 8, for $349.99 after rebates and renewals for both devices. So
what causes the difference of prices between them? Most likely specific
calling/data plans differ in more ways than one. Check out the below videos of
the Verizon TP2 unboxing . You can see the full overview of the Sprint and Verizon versions from HTC.
